What is fiscal sponsorship?
Fiscal sponsorship is a legal arrangement in which a nonprofit organization (like The Arching Foundation) offers its tax-exempt status and administrative support to help another project or organization operate and receive funding.
Do I need to have 501(c)(3) status to work with you?
No. In fact, our goal is to help projects without 501(c)(3) status get started, operate effectively, and possibly move toward their own independent nonprofit status if and when they are ready.
Can I fundraise under your organization?
Yes. As a fiscally sponsored project, you can receive tax-deductible donations and apply for grants using The Arching Foundation's 501(c)(3) status.
What types of projects do you sponsor?
We sponsor a wide range of mission-driven projects, particularly those in early stages, including community programs, advocacy efforts, education initiatives, arts and culture projects, and more.
How long can I stay under fiscal sponsorship?
Some projects use fiscal sponsorship as a short-term bridge to independent status, while others remain under our umbrella long-term. We support both paths depending on your goals.
What fees are involved?
We charge a modest administrative fee based on a percentage of the funds you raise. This fee helps us cover the cost of accounting, reporting, donor services, and oversight. Fee details will be shared during the intake process.
